Another amazing day put together by Mr Ski. Oh by the way if you click the pictures you can make them bigger.
Arlington Memorial.
Although the weather was a little damp we had a perfect position for the changing of the guards. Something that Mr. Ski had reviewed prior to the trip was the precision with which the change is executed- 21 step, 21 seconds stopped, the uniform inspection, I think they said that all stripes etc had to be placed on the uniform within 1/16 of an inch. In fact one private explained that he spent over 2 hours polishing his shoes.

Newseum
First stop - 4d movie. 3d glasses+ chairs that move and vibrate
Some unbelievable pictures
Washington memorial
555'6" tall, no steel, or concrete, only blocks and some good engineering
Holocaust memorial - no pictures allowed inside but an incredible experience
Connor's grandfather presented us with the flag prior to our entry
Iwo Jima Marine Corp Memorial
It just seems like everywhere we go we have something amazing happen. Here we were taking pictures and an elderly gentleman walks up to a couple of students and says softly " you know, I was there" he spoke for a few minutes and while it was difficult to hear him several students where able to pick up on a few words.
